1-2. 編集委員会は、編集委員および若干名の編集理事と編集幹事で構成する。

1-3. 原著論文ならびに短報は、未発表のものに限る。審査にあたり、その都度審査委員を委託する。編集委員会は審査委員の意見を参照し、原稿中の字句について加除、訂正を行い、また内容について著者に訂正を求めることがある。

1-4. 総合論文ならびに解説記事は、編集委員会が会員に依頼する。総合論文は、主題について著者の資料及び関連する最近の成果を、生態工学の目的に合致するように編集し直したものとする。解説は、主題について最近の研究、技術成果を専門外の者に理解し易く説明し、文献を整理したものとする。

1-5. 委員会特集企画記事など上記に当てはまらない特集を要望する場合、詳細を編集委員会まで問い合わせる。

2-1. 投稿原稿は、ワードプロセッサーにより作成する。A4サイズ白紙を用い、26字×44行で作成した原稿2枚で刷り上がり1頁となる。原稿の右上端に頁、代表著者名を記入する。また、原稿左側に5行毎に行番号を付す。

余白：上24mm, 下24mm, 左30mm, 右60mm以上

図表の挿入場所を指定する。

2-2. 原著論文、総合論文の長さは、図表を含めて、刷り上り6頁以内、短報、解説記事は刷り上り4頁以内とする。投稿料は無料とし、依頼原稿を除く投稿原稿については掲載料として原著論文、総合論文は40,000円、短報および解説記事は30,000円を申し受ける。なお、Express論文は、原著論文でも短報でも60,000円を申し受ける。超過分については1頁当たり15,000円、カラー写真印刷については、実費を申し受ける。

2-3. PDFファイルへ変換した原稿と原稿送り状を電子メールで下記の「原稿の送付先」へ送付するか、または、これらのファイルを収めたCDを同送付先へ郵送する。

2-4. 校正は初校のみ著者にお願いする。

2-5. 別刷りは、50部30,000円、100部40,000円、150部50,000円、200部60,000円、それ以上は100部につき＋20,000円を申し受ける。
従って、投稿の際には別刷りの印刷希望部数を申し出ること。

2-6. 著作権は本学会に属する。

3-1. 原著論文、短報、総合論文、受賞記念寄稿および解説記事には、表題、著者名、所属及び所在地を、下記の例にしたがって記載すること。表題は内容を具体的に表し、かつ簡潔なものにする。

3-2. 原著論文の形式は、最初に英文要約（250語程度）、キーワード、緒言、実験方法、結果、考察、謝辞、引用文献の順とする。学問分野により形式の多少の変更はかまわない。短報の場合は、英文要約、キーワード、本文、引用文献とする。総合論文の場合は、英文要約、キーワード、緒言、本文、引用文献とする。受賞記念寄稿および解説記事はこれに準ずる。
本文は、日本語もしくは英語とする。

3-3. 英文での投稿の場合は、英語を母国語とする人の添削を受けてから投稿することを原則とする。

3-4. 単位はSI単位を原則とする。

3-5. 英文要約は一読して論文の内容が的確に把握できるように、研究の目的、材料、方法、結果、結論などの概要を簡潔かつ具体的に記述する。長さは250ワード以内とすること。

3-6. キーワードは英文で5語以内とする。要約の後に改行して付け、アルファベット順に並べること。

3-7. 図と写真は共にFig.1、Fig.2のように、表はTable 1、Table 2のように通し番号を付ける。図表の表題のフォントは　Century あるいはTimes New Roman相当とする。いずれも、1枚毎に著者名を右上に記入する。説明はすべて英文とする。図の大きさは、刷り上りと同じ大きさとする。そうでない場合は原則として刷り上がりの2倍とする。刷り上りの図表の横幅は原則として8 cmとする。刷り上りの図表内の文字の大きさは本文の大きさ（8pt）を超えないことを原則とする。原画のトレースが必要な場合は、実費を申し受ける。写真は原画がカラーでもよく、大きさは刷り上りサイズと異なってもよく、白黒仕上がりとなる。色刷りを希望する場合は実費を申し受ける。

3-8. 引用文献は英文で表記する。英文がない場合は著者（投稿者）が翻訳したものを書き、和文を英文の後に括弧でくくって付記する。著者名や編集者名は、｢姓、名のイニシャル.｣とする。複数の場合、｢著者1 and 著者2｣、｢著者1、著者2 and 著者3｣などとする。複数の著者名を和文で付記する場合には、中グロ「・」でつなぐ。編集者のある書籍の一部を引用する場合は、その部分を執筆担当した著者名で引用すること。雑誌名は「List of serial title word abbreviations. ISDS International Centre, Paris, France, 1991」で定められた方法（ISO-4）にしたがって省略形で書く。雑誌名、書籍名、オンライン文献はイタリックとする。また、巻はボールドとする。それぞれの引用文献は、以下の例にしたがって書く。

特に区切り記号に注意すること。英文がない場合は、例えば論文の場合、以下の例にしたがって記述する。

引用文献は筆頭著者の姓のABC順に並べる。筆頭著者が同じ論文が複数ある場合は、以下のようにする。まず著者が1人の論文、2人の論文、3人以上の論文の順に並べる。共著文献の中では第2著者の姓のABC順に並べ、さらに第3者以下の姓のABC順に並べる。以上のABC順で同順の論文は、発行年順に並べる。なお、同じ年に同順の論文がある場合および、同じ年に同一筆頭著者による3人以上の共著論文がある場合は、引用文献リストの順にa, b, cを発行年の後に付けて、互いに区別する。
本文中での引用は、「Nitta et al.（1967）によれば」または「といわれている（Nitta et al., 1967）」のように行う。後者の場合、2 つ以上の論文を同時に引用するときはセミコロン「;」で区切り、発表年の古い順に引用する。ただし著者名の表記は、2名の場合「著者１and 著者2」とし，3名以上の場合「著者１ et al.」とする．

3-9. 著者は、原稿が受理後速やかに、本文と図表を保存したファイルを編集委員会が指定する形式で提出する。

4-1. 学会誌に掲載された論文あるいは記事を他誌で引用する場合には、会誌名称は下記のとおりとすること。

5-1. 趣旨
　生態工学研究分野の学生および若手研究者の論文作成・投稿意欲の向上を目指すとともに、次世代の生態工学研究を担う若手研究者を育成すること、また、学生および若手研究者の積極的な論文投稿により、生態工学会の活性化を図ることを目的とする。

5-2. 応募資格
　筆頭著者が学生または博士号の取得を目指す若手研究者で、本学会員であるもの。ただし、論文投稿について指導教員もしくは上司の承諾を得るとともに、研究結果に対する十分な議論を行い、論文作成の指導を受けることが必要である。

5-3. 審査方法
　「生態工学会誌」編集委員会にて厳正な審議を行い、論文原稿受付後2週間以内を目途に、審査結果を筆頭著者およびCorresponding authorに通知する。審査結果は、受理、要修正、掲載不可のいずれかとなる。ただし、原稿が投稿規定を順守していない場合、および英文も含め誤字脱字や文法誤りが多い場合、審査に回さず著者に返却し、Express論文受付から通常論文受付に変更を指示する場合がある。

5-4. 投稿・執筆要綱および原稿送付方法
　本投稿規定２および３に従う。原稿の種類は「原著論文」、「短報」とする（和文、英文ともに可）。電子メールに原稿や送り状など書類一式を添付して、件名欄にExpress論文投稿と明記した上で、下記のExpress論文投稿先へ送付のこと。

The journal publishes original papers, short communication, research reviews, and explanations dealing with any aspects of eco-engineering. Submission of a paper implies that it has not been published previously and that it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere. The original papers and short communication should include significant new findings. Where contributions are judged as acceptable for publication, the editor or the publisher will reserve the right to modify typescripts in order to eliminate ambiguous or redundant descriptions and then to improve communication between authors and readers. The research reviews and explanations are requested by the editor. All contributions accepted for publication become the copyright of The Society of Eco-Engineering.
If the first author is a university student or young researcher that studying for a doctorate, and is the member of the Society of Eco-Engineering, it is possible to submit to the express papers category. This category is dealt with both the original papers and short communications. Peer review of the papers submitted in this category is quick, however, if the manuscript does not comply with the submission rules, or if there are many typographical errors and grammatical errors, it may be changed to normal review category.

1. Manuscripts should be typed, double-spaced, on one side only of A4 paper. All pages beginning with the title page should be numbered consecutively in the upper right-hand corner. The name of the first author should also be described in the upper right-hand corner. Every fifth line should be numbered consecutively on the left side of the text. The top, bottom, left-hand side, and right-hand side margins should be 24, 24, 30, and 60 mm, respectively. Locations of figures and tables to be inserted should be indicated in the margins of the text.
   
   
2. Manuscripts should be written in Japanese or English. When submitting the manuscript written in English, any author whose native language is other than English is strongly recommended to have the manuscript checked before submitting the paper.
   
   
3. Original papers should be presented in the following order: title page, abstract, key words, introduction, methods, results, discussion, acknowledgements, and references. Short communication should include abstract, key words, text, and references. Research reviews should consist of abstract, key words, introduction, text, and references.Explanation and Commemorative Lecture for the Academic Award should be dealt with in the same matter as other manuscripts.
   
   
4. The title page should contain (i) a concise and informative title, (ii) the full names of the authors, and (iii) the institutions and addresses of the authors.
   
   
5. Abstract should provide the purpose, basic procedures, main findings, and principal conclusions and must not exceed 250 words.
   
   
6. A maximum of five keywords should be indicated below the abstract in alphabetical order to describe the contents of the manuscript.
   
   
7. Each table or figure should be given on a separate page, numbered and titled. The title must be written in English, and standard fonts (e.g. Century, Times New Roman etc.) should be used. Figures will be sized to fit within the column (80 mm) or the full text width. The size of the letters in figures should not exceed 8 pt after print publication. If a tracing of the original picture is necessary, the author will be charged actual expenses. Please note that, as a general rule, submitted color photographs are printed as black and white photographs in the journal.
   
   
8. Reference to work up to two authors in the text should be made in full, e.g. Tako and Nitta (1999) or (Tako and Nitta, 1999). Several papers published by the same author(s) in the same year should be lettered in sequence, e.g. (Tako and Nitta, 1999a; b). If the number of authors exceeds two, the name of the first authors should be used followed by "et al.", e.g. (Nitta et al., 1967). Reference to publications by different groups of authors with the same first author and date of publication should be made as: (Nitta et al., 1967a; b). Reference to plural publications in the text should be made in chronological order.
   References in the list should be given in alphabetical order, according to the surname of the first author. Several papers published by the same first author should be ranked according to the number of the authors, and the papers with the same number of authors should be listed in alphabetical order. The journal name should be abbreviated according to List of serial title word abbreviations (ISDS International Centre, Paris, France, 1991). Please note the following formats in listing papers, entire books, chapters in books, and online sources.

9. After acceptance of the paper, a full electronic version of the manuscript will be requested for production purposes.
   

Publication fee
The original papers and research reviews within 6 printed pages, will incur a levy of \40,000 for the publication fee. The explanations and short communications within 4 printed pages will incur a levy of \30,000 for publication fee.
The express papers, both the original papers with in 6 printed pages and short communications with in 4 printed pages, will incur a levy of 60,000 for the publication fee.

Page charges
The original papers that exceed 6 printed pages and the short communication, and explanations that exceed 4 printed pages will incur a levy of ?15,000 per each individual printed page. As a general rule, submitted color photographs and figures will not be reproduced in color. Color reproduction, if approved by the Editor, will be provided at additional charge to the author.
